I had to re-do the living room, and wanted a small table for crafting stuff such as hand embroidery (and leaving it out). The scheme called for something casual (but not declasse' nor funky). After arraying several choices, I accidentally came across this one. Perfect! And it is. As a dining table, the top is high enough so I can rest my hands on the edge. The top is wood finish with grooves which wouldn't be good as a writing surface but not something I'll be doing. The rest of metal. The style highlights really are the details on the legs. Altogether, it is elegant! The shipping box was intact. It is heavy so have some muscles around for moving and unpacking. Following the instructions to assemble the bolts loosely first and then when all assembled, tighten. They all fit. and, all the pieces were there. The table is very stable. Well worth the price. The table would function well as a small dining table, as well.The table was much more attractive than I was anticipating. The wood tricked my mother into thinking it was real, so that was a good sign. It came together beautifully, is sturdy, and looks fantastic in our new apartment.The only issue we ran into while putting it together occurred with the chairs. There is a step to put screws in the underside of the chair to secure the wooden seat. The pre set holes were not at the correct locations, requiring me to mark and drill new holes for the screws.My set arrived with all parts and the instructions were easy to follow. Overall, this went together very quickly, even with that small mishap. I would say roughly 2 hours for the table and all four chairs.First of all, I must comment on the packaging. They get an A+. These people go the extra mile to insure their product gets to you in great shape. The table was easy to assemble. The instructions recommended two adults to assemble, but I am 70 and did it myself without any problems. It is very classy and looks great in my kitchen. The top is a laminate and probable will not take the punishment as a solid wood top, but the price was right and I will be using placemats. Very happy with my purchase.I'm very happy with my purchase, just the colors and size I was looking for. These chairs are made of solid, stable and durable, I pretty sure it could be used for at least 5 years. I ordered 2 pair of these for my dining table and it match just fine. It only took me half hour to put them together. It was easy to assemble and really sturdy furniture for the price. The shipping was fast. The Most important, it makes my dining area beautiful. I will recommend to anyone to buy this you wont be disappointed!!After assembly this set appears to be fairly substantial and looks nice. It arrived fairly quickly as well. It took about 3 1/2 hours to assemble the whole thing which was a bit tedious with all the black screws going into black metal- difficult to line up sometimes. I would have given it a higher rating but unfortunately both chairs in the 2nd box had broken leg caps so I will need to go purchase some. Also when I went to attach the leg of the last of the 4 chairs- typical!- I realized a screw was missing. Luckily I had one that worked so I didn't need to go to the hardware store but that I have to go buy leg caps is an annoyance.One of the chairs arrived with a chip in the seat and the other package of chairs missing the hardware. Customer service was amazing. They were awesome to work with and helped a lot to get the replacements once the chairs were together they were beautifulEasy to assemble and solid. Very nice look and great design! I'm very happy with this table!Great
