I just finished remodeling our dining room, and needed some chairs to go with the new slab table that I made. After having and using these chairs for a few months, they've done very well and still look and feel fantastic. We have 2 young daughters, and their messes have not left any lasting marks or stains.I recommend putting felt pads on the bottom of the legs to keep from scratching the floors. The plastic/hard rubber ones rubbed and scraped our floors a little before I got the felt.Also, as other reviewers said, assembling the chairs isn't difficult, but there are a good amount of metal shavings inside the tubes that will make a big mess if you try to assemble inside. As I assembled the chairs, I'd give them a very good shaking to try to get as many out as I could.Despite the annoying shavings, we've been really happy with the chairs and would definitely recommend them.
