Well, great bench except for the fact they clearly sent me a ripped item. I will see how the company handles this issue and update my review depending on if they satisfy me. Read on...Cons- came ripped right on the corner as if the person assembling it pulled too hard and ripped the leatherette. Instead of fixing it they shipped it to me. I am not happy about this. Mistakes happen, but things like this happen on purpose in my opinion, no way the worker didn't know he/she ripped the bench cover and didn't care enough to fix it. I don't know if it was ever checked for quality at Acme or not, maybe they just get a load from Malaysia and sent them out. But bottom line mine was ripped and someone else should have dealt with this prior to being shipped in my opinion. Was not damaged in transit, there was no damage on the box and they don't use staples at all like some other furniture boxes. This was ripped at the time it was made, clearly. Small enough to ignore, but no buyer would be happy when they received it. One weird thing is there was a red plastic strip put through the box, almost as if it was a second quality flag. It is very possible my item was a known second quality item, but I have no other proof then this very odd thing that had no other useful purpose.Pro's-Wow, great bench for the money-easy to assemble-very sturdy-no movement on the floor, this item was built perfectly square to the floor-is made to take more weight because of the reinforcement-priced better then the competition and is a stronger bench and better quality- the top part is screwed in so can be replaced easily if ever damaged (unscrew, re-fabric, and re screw.)-the color is a nice medium match to many colors from hickory, walnut to cherry- wow the bench is firm, they used great foam for supportOne tip is you can dissemble once you put it together to make sure it is good, and then reassemble and glue as well as screw it together. This item is built to last and unless you ever have a need to take it apart for some reason, you can opt for a permanent stronger bond. So absolutely great bench, dang near perfect, but getting defective items is just something that gets tiresome fast. I know I have the right to send it back and perhaps get another.
